Immersive audio and video installation designed for the Fort Adams "listening tunnels" in Newport, Rhode Island as part of the Fort Adams: Drawing Parallels, Listening for Echoes exhibition. From the secrets of submarine warfare to the propaganda-fueled proliferation of basement bomb shelters during the Cold War, this is an exploration of real and imagined threats and the implications of our individual and collective responses mapped onto a space of physical and psychological discomfort. While portions of this work existed within the tunnels themselves, a supplementary narrative audio story was produced for Now Here This as a way of extending this work beyond its site.
